What this policy covers

This policy covers appcode.solutions, user accounts, paid AI Blog subscriptions, the contact form and the AI Blog newsletter. Product-specific services, including Starzy, may have separate privacy policies.

Information we collect

When you create an account or subscribe, we collect your email address, account or subscription status, saved and favorite articles, reading-meter events and relevant consent dates. When you contact us, we receive the name, email address and message you provide. Infrastructure logs may temporarily process request information, including an IP address, for security and rate limiting; likes use a keyed identifier rather than storing the raw IP.

Why we use it

Newsletter addresses are processed with consent to confirm and deliver briefings three times a week. Account data provides authentication, free library features and paid entitlements. Reading events enforce the daily article allowance. Payment and security information is processed to perform our contract, prevent abuse and protect the service.

Service providers

We use Hetzner for hosting, Google for optional sign-in, Resend for authentication and newsletter email, Stripe for billing and payment processing, and OpenRouter/model providers for AI article generation. Card details are entered on Stripe-hosted pages and do not pass through AppCode servers. Providers process data under their own terms and our applicable agreements.

Retention and security

Unconfirmed newsletter requests expire after 24 hours. Newsletter addresses are protected with authenticated application-level encryption. After unsubscribing, the address and ciphertext are removed while a keyed identifier and minimum suppression record may be retained. We also use HTTPS, signed links and webhooks, access controls, rate limits, encrypted off-site backups and audit records. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. Paid subscriptions can be managed through the Stripe customer portal. Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to certain processing, or withdraw newsletter consent. We do not sell personal information.
