A painting that paints itself. Water soaks along the paper fibres, pigment drifts to the drying edges and settles into the grain, so every wash blooms and darkens like the real thing. Misty mountains, a dry-brush pine, a vermilion moon and a crane, signed with a haiku and a red seal, until rain washes the sheet clean. Pick ink, water or vermilion and paint on it yourself.
